How to Write Words in Numbers?
How to convert words in to numbers (up to Ten Thousand)?
Let's learn this using an example.
Convert four thousand, one hundred and fifty-three to numbers.
Step 1: Create a place value chart as shown below:
Step 2: Mark the keywords "thousand" and "hundred" and insert the associated words in thousand and hundreds place respectively. So in our example four is associated with thousand and one is associated with hundred. Fill it in the chart as shown below:
Step 3: Insert the final two numbers based on the last part of the words. In our example it is fifty-three so it can be broken down as 5 and 3.
Step 4: Combine all the numbers.

1. A library has four thousand, one hundred and fifty-three books. Write the number of books in numerals.
The library has 4153 books.
