Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Home Campus Pte Ltd ("Home Campus", "we") collects from the people who use my.homecampus.com.sg (the "Site"), what we do with it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

From a parent or teacher who registers: your name, your email address and a password. The password is kept only in a scrambled form that we cannot read. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google and no password.
About a child: a first and last name, a grade and a username. A child's account is created by a parent or a teacher. We do not ask a child for an email address, a home address, a phone number or a photograph.
What a child does on the Site: the questions answered, whether they were right, the time taken, worksheets, goals and scores. This is what lets the Site show progress to the child, the parent and the teacher.
Subscriptions: payments are made through PayPal. We keep PayPal's reference for the subscription, the amount and the dates. We never see or store card or bank details.
Messages you send us through the Contact Us page.
Technical records: like every website, the servers that run the Site (Google Cloud) keep a short-lived record of requests, which includes the internet address and browser used.

Cookies and other companies' services

Our own cookie keeps you signed in and protects the Site's forms. The Site cannot work without it.
A second cookie of our own remembers, for up to 60 days, the page on which you first arrived and the name of the site that sent you, so that we know which pages bring families to us. If you register, that note is saved with your account.
Google Analytics counts visits to the pages seen by visitors, parents and teachers. It is not loaded on the pages of a signed-in child.
Lesson videos are played by YouTube, a Google service, which may set its own cookies when a page with a video is opened.
Facebook's "Like" button is loaded for visitors, parents and teachers, not for a signed-in child.
Google reCAPTCHA protects the Contact Us, registration and Forgot Password forms from automated abuse.
Google's sign-in button and PayPal's payment buttons are loaded where you can use them.

The Site carries no advertising, and we do not use what we know about you or your child to advertise elsewhere.

How we use what we collect

To run the Site: lessons, practice, worksheets, goals, reports and subscriptions.
To send emails about your account: a welcome message, password resets and subscription notices.
To send parents a progress report, reminders about unfinished worksheets and, occasionally, an offer on the subscription. Each of these emails has a link to stop them.
To understand, in total and not person by person, how the Site is used, so that we can improve it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. It is handled on our behalf only by the companies that run the Site with us: Google (hosting, email delivery, sign-in, analytics as described above) and PayPal (payments). We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Children

A child uses the Site through an account that a parent or teacher has created and controls. A parent can see the child's records at any time under their own sign-in, and can ask us to correct or delete them.

Keeping, correcting and deleting

We keep an account and its records for as long as the account exists. To see, correct or delete your account or your child's, write to us at the address below and we will act on it.

Security

The Site is served only over an encrypted connection (https). Passwords are stored in scrambled form. Payments are handled entirely by PayPal.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will change the date at the bottom of this page.
